Shawn Barden

Shawn Barden has been our lead pastor since 2006. In his obvious passion to see real lives deeply connected to a real Savior he brings a creative, fresh, and dynamic approach to the communication of the timeless gospel.

“The church isn’t the point. Jesus is,” says Shawn. “The church isn’t the destination; it is the hub, the connector. I think of it like an airport. Nobody goes to the airport for the sake of being at an airport. They go to the airport because it takes them somewhere. That destination is Jesus and the full life offered to people who are vitally connected to Him.” This conviction paired with a good cup of coffee is what gets Shawn out of bed every morning.

Shawn loves paddling whitewater, snowboarding on fresh powder mornings, and hanging out with his wife and three kids. Although he enjoys playing Oldtimer’s Hockey he’s in denial that he’s old enough to qualify.
